Kearsney Parks, Dover
HEA was appointed to produce a Conservation Management Plan for two historic parks, Kearsney Abbey and Russell Gardens, by Dover City Council. Russell Gardens forms part of the Kearsney Court landscape designed by Thomas Mawson at the beginning of C20; part of the gardens are in the private ownership of the still extant manor house. Kearsney Abbey is an early C19 landscape, once owned by the Fector family until it was, along with Russell Gardens, converted into a public park in 1945. Client: Dover City Council
