Conservation Statements

HEA can undertake conservation statements to inform the management and development of sites.  The statements bring together the historical research and, in the light of the nature and extent of the contemporary landscape, analyse the historical signficance of the site.  The statements follow the Historic England guidance on defining significance and can be developed into full conservation management plans by the managing organisation.

Knighton Wood is a remnant of Epping Forest that has now been separated from the main body of the forest by development. HEA prepared a consevation statement to inform site management.
